9-Cis Retinoic Acid

9-Cis Retinoic Acid is a substance related to vitamin A, called a retinoid, that researchers are studying for its possible role in preventing cancer. It is not yet a standard treatment but is part of ongoing research. Patients may hear about it in clinical trials or research discussions, but it is not currently used as a proven cancer therapy.

90Y-Dota-Biotin

Also Known As: Yttrium Y 90-DOTA-Biotin

90Y-DOTA-biotin is a compound that links a radioactive substance called yttrium Y 90 to biotin, a molecule that binds tightly to streptavidin. It is designed to deliver targeted radiation to cancer cells marked by antibodies attached to streptavidin. This approach is being studied to help destroy tumors more precisely and reduce side effects compared to traditional treatments.

90Y-Ibritumomab Tiuxetan

Also Known As: 90Y-Zevalin, IDEC-Y2B8, And Yttrium Y 90-Ibritumomab Tiuxetan

90Y-Ibritumomab tiuxetan is a targeted cancer treatment used with rituximab to treat certain B-cell non-Hodgkin lymphomas. It combines an antibody that attaches to B cells with a small amount of radiation to help kill cancer cells. It is also known as 90Y-Zevalin or IDEC-Y2B8 and is being studied for other B-cell tumors.

90Y-Zevalin

Also Known As: 90Y-Ibritumomab Tiuxetan, IDEC-Y2B8, And Yttrium Y 90-Ibritumomab Tiuxetan

90Y-Zevalin is a targeted cancer treatment used with rituximab to treat certain B-cell non-Hodgkin lymphomas. It combines an antibody that attaches to B cells with a small amount of radiation to help kill cancer cells. It is also being studied for other B-cell tumors. It may also appear under related names such as 90Y-Ibritumomab Tiuxetan, IDEC-Y2B8, And Yttrium Y 90-Ibritumomab Tiuxetan.

99M-Tc-Dx

Also Known As: Tc-99M Dextran, Technetium Tc 99M-Dextran

99M-Tc-Dx is a radioactive tracer linked to dextran, studied to help find sentinel lymph nodes in some skin and breast cancers. After injection, it stays in blood and lymph vessels, allowing doctors to locate nearby lymph nodes that may be affected by cancer using special detection tools. It may also appear under related names such as Tc-99M Dextran, Technetium Tc 99M-Dextran.

9Cuab30

9cUAB30 is a substance being studied for cancer treatment and prevention. It works by blocking an enzyme called telomerase, which helps cancer cells keep dividing. 9cUAB30 belongs to a group of compounds related to vitamin A called retinoic acids. It is not yet an approved treatment but is being researched in clinical trials.

9P21

9p21 is a small part of chromosome 9 that contains a gene involved in controlling tumor growth. In some cancers, like bladder cancer, this part may be missing, which can allow cancer cells to grow. Testing for 9p21 can help doctors diagnose cancer or check if it has returned. It is considered a tumor marker.
