XRAYs

Description

Overview

This item appears to mean x-rays. X-rays are ionizing radiation and can damage DNA. CDC and ACS note that medical imaging exposure can slightly increase the risk of developing cancer later in life, especially with higher-dose or repeated imaging. Risk must be balanced against diagnostic benefit; medically necessary imaging can be important and lifesaving. The relevant cause description is cumulative ionizing-radiation exposure, not avoidance of all imaging.
