Zinc

Zinc is an essential trace mineral involved in DNA repair, cell division, immune function, antioxidant defenses, wound healing, taste, appetite, and epithelial barrier integrity. In cancer, zinc is relevant because deficiency may impair immunity and tissue repair, zinc biology is abnormal in several tumors, and supplementation may help selected supportive-care problems, while high-dose or long.
