Vitamin D

Vitamin D is a fat-soluble prohormone involved in calcium balance, immune signaling, inflammation control, cell differentiation, and vitamin D receptor activity in many tissues. In cancer, the interest centers on deficiency correction, observational links with risk and survival, and mixed but important randomized-trial evidence suggesting stronger signals for cancer mortality or progression than for preventing cancer incidence.
