Surgery

Conventional cancer surgery includes diagnostic biopsies, staging operations, tumor resections, nodal surgery, reconstruction, debulking, metastasectomy, and palliative procedures. The exact operation depends on cancer type, location, stage, and patient fitness. Surgery is a conventional local cancer treatment used to remove, sample, stage, reconstruct, bypass, or relieve problems caused by cancer.
