WIFI Radiation
Overview
Wi-Fi radiation is radiofrequency electromagnetic energy. It is non-ionizing and lacks the direct DNA-damaging power of x-rays or gamma rays. NCI reviews electromagnetic fields and cancer evidence, including radiofrequency sources, and does not identify typical Wi-Fi exposure as a proven cancer cause. The scientifically cautious position is that Wi-Fi can be tracked as low-level radiofrequency exposure with uncertain long-term effects, but direct carcinogenicity is not established.
