Details

Dr. Paul Thomas, MD (retired), also known as “Dr. Paul,” is a former board-certified pediatrician, integrative medicine practitioner, author, researcher, and prominent advocate for informed consent, vaccine choice, and toxin avoidance in children’s health.

He received his MD from Dartmouth Medical School and completed his pediatrics residency at UC San Diego. He is a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics (FAAP) and has held additional board certifications in integrative/holistic medicine and addiction medicine. Dr. Thomas founded Integrative Pediatrics in Portland, Oregon (2008), where he cared for over 13,000 patients using an integrative approach that combined conventional and holistic methods.

Born in Portland, Oregon, he spent much of his childhood in Rhodesia (now Zimbabwe), where early experiences with conscience and education shaped his views. He speaks Shona and Spanish. He and his wife have raised ten children (biological and adopted).

Key Works and Controversy

Dr. Thomas is best known for co-authoring the 2016 bestseller The Vaccine-Friendly Plan (with Jennifer Margulis, Ph.D.), which proposed a delayed and selective vaccination schedule. He later conducted and published a “vaxxed vs. unvaxxed” study in his practice. He has since distanced himself from parts of his earlier vaccine plan based on his evolving research.

His Oregon medical license was suspended in 2020 amid controversy over his vaccine practices and patient outcomes; he ultimately surrendered it and retired from clinical practice around December 2022. He no longer diagnoses or treats patients but continues educational work through his YouTube channel, weekly show With the Wind with Dr. Paul, books (including the recent VAX FACTS), and websites.
